应地学院和生物地质与环境地质国家重点实验室谢树成教授和罗根明副教授邀请，美国Syracuse University陆尊礼博士来我校进行访问，并作学术报告。

报告题目：I/Ca as an oxygenation proxy: Precambrian to Pleistocene

报告内容简介：

Iodine is a redox sensitive halogen. The oxidized form (iodate) can be incorporated into carbonate structure. I/Ca ratios have been determined in bulk rocks and foraminifera tests for Precambrian, Phanerozoic secular trends and also during abrupt climatic events, such as the PETM. Applications of this proxy reveal a series of interesting changes throughout the Earth history, ranging from the first appearance of dissolved O2 in surface ocean, to terminal oxygenation of atmosphere-ocean system during Paleozoic-Mesozoic, and to OMZ dynamics during glacial cycles. This talk will be a tasting menu of these investigations.

报告人简介：

陆尊礼博士于2002年获得南京大学地球化学学士学位，2008年于美国Rochester大学获得理学博士学位，主要从事天然气水合物区卤素的系统研究，2008-2011年在英国牛津进行博士后研究，主要从事古环境记录方面的研究，2011年获美国Syracuse大学教职，从事沉积地球化学方面的教学和科研工作，在Nature Communication, Geology等著名杂志上发表科研论文30余篇。
